EnquiryThe Papyri vases are inspired by two famous bronze statues found in the excavations of Herculaneum. They are made of stoneware that has been deliberately left unglazed to evoke the idea of a precious ancient artifact unearthed, in a bucchero style ceramic, of a timeless object.
They are made in a small workshop in one of the most important ceramic districts in Italy. The eyes are individually hand-engraved and painted, just like an ancient artifact.
